KidCity is …
Fun stuff for kids
Here in KidCity, we desire for every child to know who they are and whose they are — beloved children of God — and hunger to know, passionately love, and boldly live for our Lord in return. Our desire is to provide a safe, loving, and fun environment for your child to begin and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
When:
KidCity Worship happens Sunday mornings at 9 & 11a.
KidCity Connect Groups will be back on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 6p. Connect Groups are all about kids coming to know, love, and serve Jesus through small group Bible study, creative activities and games, and learning God’s Word. KidCity Connect Groups coincide with Epic Students meetings and multiple adult LifeGroups on Wednesdays from 6-7:45p.
During the summer months, KidCity enjoys a flexible meeting schedule. Follow this link to find the most recent list of 2023 summer and fall events.
What:
KidCity is discipleship for children:
- Nursery: 0-3 years old
- Early Childhood (Pre-K & K): 4-6 years old
*children must be potty trained before moving up to this class* - Young Elementary: grades 1st and 2nd
- Older Elementary: grades 3rd through 5th
We aim to make every element of KidCity fun and exciting because life with God is all of that and much more! Through developmentally and age appropriate lessons and activities, we seek to plant seeds of the Gospel in ways children can understand and that will stick with them for years to come.
Sunday mornings involve worship, Bible discovery, creative activities, scripture memory, and community building.
Wednesday night Awana involves scripture memory, games, worship, and small group discipleship. Awana is for grades K-5th, and nursery is provided for children Pre-K and under.
Exceptional Buddies
We desire for every child to feel safe and loved while having fun learning about God’s great love for us! For families with children with special needs, we offer Exceptional Buddies — exceptionally trained volunteers who can work one-to-one with your child while in KidCity. Please let Jenni Grace know if that is for you.
First time here?
We want your first time to be as smooth as possible. You can register your child ahead of time HERE or complete a registration form when you arrive.
Our check-in station is located just inside our children’s ministry doors. Check-in opens 15 minutes before Sunday services (8:45a and 10:45a) and 10 minutes before Wednesday night programs (5:50p).
When you arrive, one of our awesome KidCity volunteers will help you with the check-in process. You and your child will be given matching identification stickers that are exclusive to your family and your visit. These stickers will be matched at check-out time. If someone other than you will be picking up your child, please mention let us know at the time of check-in.
We can’t wait to meet your family!
Volunteer Information
Our children’s ministry is about so much more than providing childcare during Sunday worship and Wednesday LifeGroups – it is worship service where our youngest members become the Body of Christ and encounter God.
Our amazing team of volunteers ensure each child feels safe, known, and loved while learning the good news of God’s Word. Our KidCity team members are Safe Sanctuary trained (our Child Safety Policy & Practices), background checked, CPR certified, and kid-confident.
If you would like to be a part of our KidCity ministry team, please contact Jenni Grace for more information.
